Sumar does not want to remain in the background once the PSOE has decided to take sole charge of the negotiation to agree on an amnesty with the pro-independence parties in view of the inauguration of Pedro Sánchez. For a month, the party of the acting second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, has prepared with a group of experts made up of around twenty people and led by the former Catalan deputy, Jaume Asens, a proposed opinion for the amnesty law.

The Vice President of the Government will present it next Tuesday in Barcelona as announced in an interview on the Cafè d`idees program on RTVE. A proposal that will come two days after Barcelona hosts a large demonstration against the amnesty for which the leader of Sumar has admitted her “respect” for a peaceful demonstration.

Sumar’s intention is for the PSOE to endorse his proposed investiture law, as various spokespersons for the party have expressed in recent weeks. Sumar’s objective is to advance as soon as possible in the technical part of the rule, while supporting the negotiations with the independentists.

Minutes after Yolanda Díaz announced in Barcelona her visit next Tuesday to present her proposal for the amnesty law, Junts has issued a statement to confirm that it already has the draft. “Sumar, through Jaume Asens, has informed Junts of its proposal for an Amnesty Law,” the post-convergents point out.

“Toni Comin – interlocutor with Sumar in the conversations for the negotiation of the investiture – has brought this proposed law to the attention of the Permanent Junts, of which he is a part,” the party adds, announcing that the liaison person is the former councilor. of the Generalitat and Puigdemont’s right-hand man in Belgium.

Furthermore, Junts appears complicit with Sumar coinciding with Díaz’s announcement and in full negotiations for the investiture: Puigdemont’s party “thanks Sumar for his involvement and interest in the desire to reach an agreement” and also “commits to carrying out a detailed analysis and to convey to you in the most immediate way possible its conclusions regarding this proposed law.”

The proposal, advanced by El Periódico de Cataluña, includes the exoneration of “actions or omissions of political intention linked to the objective of achieving self-determination” from January 2013 to the present. Diaz’s entourage avoids confirming the proposal. It also contemplates the retroactive repeal of the crimes that the police officers charged with the 1-O charges would have incurred, except in cases where attacks against moral integrity occur.
