Without a doubt, the last year has been very difficult for News 12. Roni Daniel, who was one of the greatest journalists in the Israeli media, left it shocked about a year ago when he passed away prematurely at the age of 73.
In memory of the security commentator of News 12, tonight (Tuesday) the movie “Roni” will be broadcast on Bequest 12, which presents the story of his personal and professional life until his death. According to Mako: “The film combines memories of his friends from the news network and from different periods in the journalist’s life, and along the way they will tell about Daniel and expose us viewers to new sides that we didn’t know about the man who appeared every day on our screen.”

One of his colleagues in the program, who participates in the film, is the presenter of the main edition Yonit Levy, who worked with him for many years in the edition. In the film, she talks about the moment she realized its personal importance to her: “Neva Palm and the evacuation of Gush Katif are very intense broadcasts, there were very tense days. I remember there was a moment in my broadcast that was very difficult, and I was shouted at from the control. This is a remote broadcast, a big mess , and I kind of lost my direction because something there was terribly unpleasant.” .
Levy added: “He looked at me and he said to me, ‘Yonka, everything is fine.’
