Member of Knesset and Chairman of Religious Zionism, Itamar Ben Gvir, from the Religious Zionism faction arrived today (Tuesday) at Assaf Harofeh Hospital and began confronting the family of the starving prisoner Hisham Abu Huash. Ben Gvir encountered the prisoner’s brother and other family members who were present.
As a result, a riot broke out within the walls of the ward, where Abu Huash is hospitalized. Along with MK Ben Gvir, right-wing activist Baruch Marzel also arrived, demanding the removal of Palestinian flags hoisted by the patient’s family. Immediately afterwards, the hospital’s security staff and police officers who were present arrived and separated the parties. Ayman Odeh arrived at the hospital and said: “This is a victory for the Palestinian people,” in response MK Ben Gvir replied: “You are a terrorist, a terrorist, the GSS should have eliminated Abu Huash in a targeted assassination.”

Meanwhile, prisoner Abu Huash is expected to end his hunger strike after 141 days, after an agreement was signed that he would be released on February 26. The Palestinian factions welcomed the agreement and said: “This is a victory for the two-week movement over the occupation, and the taking of its freedom from the clutches of the Zionist prison.” In addition, Hamas spokesman ‘Abd al-Latif al-Qanua said: “A new victory has been recorded in the name of prisoner Hisham Abu Huash, and it confirms the ability of our Palestinian people and its brave prisoners to win every battle they wage with the occupation.”
