So the government should help us to go to London,” he demanded.
When asked if there is a chance to meet Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi etc. or Priyanka Gandhi who met you when you were in jail or what would you do if they meet you, he said, “There is no chance of meeting them and they will not want to meet me.” She further said, “It is sad that my husband was taken to the camp after liberation. I want him to be with me as soon as possible.”
Earlier in the Rajiv Gandhi case, Murugan and Chandan, who were acquitted from Vellore Jail and Robert Payas and Jayakumar from Puzhal Jail, were all lodged in a special camp for refugees in Trichy Central Jail Complex. I followed what he was doing. It was very difficult for one to be freed when seven were thought to be freed. It was only after that that we approached the Supreme Court amid great difficulty. When Nalini was asked about “some people protesting their release”, she said, “We have been in jail for 32 years… are they not satisfied with that? There is no chance to meet Rahul Gandhi, Sonia and Priyanka. After Priyanka Gandhi met me and left, I prayed to God for her safe passage.

We approached the Supreme Court only after consulting with him. He helped me in this. Time does not pass while in prison. I studied with the help of one of the previous IGs. He was the one who forced me to study.
But A prison is like a hell, a sewer, a cesspool, a burning forest That’s it. Indeed it is. Even in prison, I continued my efforts. I have suffered a lot in my prison life. I have no clothes to wear. I have suffered without even affording a xerox. I learned many things in my prison life. If there’s one university no one can go to, it’s a prison. The reason is university, I have learned some things there. For example, there you can learn temperance and patience. You can also learn to respect others. I learned so many things there that I didn’t have. Also the central government brought various schemes in the prison. But they could not implement it completely. Not even a certificate was issued for the courses completed there,” he said.
