Emma Heming, 45, wife of Bruce Willis, 68, celebrated her sixteenth wedding anniversary by sharing a photo on Instagram of her kissing her husband’s cheek, accompanied by a dedication: «Sixteen years with this special man. My love and adoration for him only increases.”
Also on Instagram, Heming posted a message this week about how difficult it can be to celebrate this relationship while dealing with the “Die Hard” actor’s health issues, saying in the video that she managed to have “a good cry” with a Dear friend. Last February, Willis’ family — including Heming, ex-wife Demi Moore and her daughters — announced that the star had been diagnosed with a form of dementia called frontotemporal dementia, or FTD for short.
Heming said in his video this week that “holidays are hard, anniversaries are hard.” She added that “building community and connection” has helped her get through this year. “This has been my lifeline and I just want to say thank you.” She then says that she has received “countless messages of love and support because Bruce is so loved” and that these messages help her feel “less alone.” “I wish I could respond to all the messages because they are deep, raw and poetic, but please know that I appreciate them very much,” she wrote. “I am grateful to you.”
