You are not alone: come and support the traditional holiday dinner of the gay center

by time news

Governments have changed, companies have risen and fallen, a year has gone, a year has come, but there are traditions whose honor has been in place for almost three decades. Such is the Rosh Hashanah dinner of the Association for the LGBT and the Gay Center in Tel Aviv, which will be held on the eve of the holiday, Sunday 9/25 at 6:00 p.m. – for the 28th time in its history. Not bad, not bad at all.

The purpose of the meal is to make sure that no community member is left alone on the holiday, and at the same time to raise a celebration of community and solidarity aimed at welcoming the new year together, and hopefully raising a toast to a life of new beginnings. The meal will be held at the Gay Center complex in the center of Sharona under the guidance of The creator Talda (“Lesbihunst”) and with the participation of Rona Keenan (who will bless the celebrants), Noam Horev (who will dedicate a special song to the participants and give them his new book) and the drag queen Yosla.

In order to build the meal, several factors from the culinary fields were mobilized to help the event: “Phoebe’s Kitchen”, which on other days is used to pick up catering, will take care of a full meal for the hundreds of participants. The ingredients and desserts are entrusted to Super Victory, the Tempo beverage company, Sweet Bakery and Kapoleski Bakery.

And best of all, you too can lend a hand, or rather, put your hand in your pocket and give. The association is also helped by donations to raise the event, and you can donate to feed LGBT people who were left alone during the holidays and earn some good karma for the next year. Or as the chairperson of the LGBT Association, Hila Par, said: “The holiday meal is a decades-old tradition that reminds us of the importance of mutual help in our community. It is our responsibility to make sure that no community member is left alone on the eve of the holiday.’
