The WhatsApp messaging application has launched a new feature that allows the user to send messages to himself, according to what was monitored by Wa Beta Info.

According to the aforementioned site, the new feature is now available on iOS with version 22.23.74 of the app, and on Android the feature is available for some with version 2.22.23.77.

This feature will be especially useful for those who resort to messaging themselves as a way to store links, files, and more.

Messaging platforms like Slack allow users to send messages to themselves, and Telegram also allows you to save messages for later or create a private channel where users can continue messaging with themselves. Even Messenger, which is owned by Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, allows this feature.

To send a message to yourself on WhatsApp, it is enough to open a new conversation, and when you select the number you want to message, your account will appear at the top of the list.

This shows a different explanatory message when opening this chat saying: “Message yourself”.

Messages sent to yourself will be visible across all of your devices linked to your account, and of course messages will be encrypted like the rest of your chats.

And if you don’t see the feature at the moment, it may take some waiting for a few more days for WhatsApp to complete the rollout process.
