Actor Unni Mukundan explains about the incident of YouTuber calling him bad about Malikappuram movie on YouTube. Unni Mukundan said that she had to react emotionally because her father, mother and the child who acted in the film were spoken badly about.
In the words of Unni Mukundan:
I’m not saying anything was wrong, but yesterday, I called that person after 15 minutes and apologized. He apologized to me in return. The video came to YouTube for views, maybe because of my insatiable anger. He called directly and said the matter only because he said that he wanted to speak as Manly.
The movie should be reviewed and opinions should be given. It is the right of every viewer who spends money and time. My anger and sadness is with that person’s personal remarks. You are not a believer! There is no reason to say that I sold Ayyappan. To say that my parents made me this way, I can only see it as a bad word for my mother and father.
I called the person 15 minutes above and apologized only because I felt that my reaction was bad, but I told myself and intended to present one that may be movie comments but not thinking about my family or my thoughts. If the first phone call is not recorded then the second one should be recorded too…maybe the person did it knowingly or unknowingly! Be anything!
It may be that the method is not correct. But moving forward with full faith that what was said is true. Let me tell you one thing, I am a believer, a devotee of Ayyappa, I have never questioned anyone’s faith, I have never asked anyone to change…
You can review the movie or not, but the family members should not show bad behavior by saying ‘freedom of speech’, because it is difficult to hear that the mole who acted in the movie has done devotional business. If a father or mother is scolded or made fun of, then no son can live like this. If he has said something wrong, it can be seen as a son’s trouble or Allel Unni Mukundan’s pride. I cannot accept disrespecting my parents or God just because I have made a film and criticize it.
Many people said that I, Unni, reacted emotionally, but the truth is that I am like this. Nothing is earned for nothing, it is earned through hard work, prayer and effort. I am still thankful to the audience here and to God. Apologies to those who have been hurt by words.
