In the special project “Personal NOI”, every reader can ask their questions about pension, unemployment benefits, inheritance income, maternity or payments based on TELK. The experts of the insurance institute will answer him as comprehensively as possible.
The answers will be published every month in “24 Chasa”, “Club 100” and on the largest information portal in the Bulgarian language 24chasa.bg.

The disability pension and the foreign aid supplement for persons who have not reached the age under Art. 68, para. 1 of the Social Insurance Code, is granted for the time of incapacity for work (term of disability), determined by the Territorial Expert Medical Commission (TELC) or the National Expert Medical Commission (NEMC) with an expert decision.
When the period for which the pension was granted expires, it is terminated, if no new expert decision has been received, certifying 50 and more than 50 percent permanently reduced working capacity/type and degree of disability of the pensioner, i.e. it is necessary to have a document giving rise to the right to a disability pension after the expiry of the term.
After re-certification of the persons, the decisions of TELC and NELC are communicated ex officio to the interested organizations, including the National Social Security Institute (NSI), electronically under the conditions and in accordance with the Law on Electronic Documents and Electronic Authentication Services and the Law on Electronic Government ( Article 112a of the Health Act).
For the persons to whom the payment of the disability pension should be continued, an order for its recovery is ex officio issued by the official who is entrusted with the management of the pension insurance in the relevant territorial division of the National Insurance Institute.
In this regard, we inform you that you should not submit the expert decision of TELK/NELK after your re-certification, as well as other documents, to the NOI.
