If nothing goes wrong, before the end of the year Elon Musk you will become the owner of Twitter. To prevent the deal from sinking, both the platform and the South African have put a series of penalties in writing. According to the purchase agreement, shared with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), each of the parties has committed to the payment of 1,000 million dollars in case they do not comply with the agreement.
Also, in case Twitter finds a buyer who offers a figure higher than the 41,000 million euros that Musk has put on the table, it will be obliged to communicate the offer to the tycoon and give him four days to try to match it.
