UDA CMS Alumni Association, the alumni organization of Department of Communication and Media Studies (CMS) of University of Development Alternative (UDA) has officially started its journey.
According to a press release on Saturday (February 17), the first committee of alumni was announced on Friday (February 16) at a restaurant in Dhanmondi in the capital. More than hundred former students of the department were present at this time.
Ashikur Rahman, a student of the 15th batch of the department, has been elected as the president of the 27-member executive committee. Kushal Yasir, a student of the 27th batch, was elected as the general secretary and Mahadi Hasan of the 32nd batch was elected as the treasurer.

According to the notification, in 2002, the CMS department of UDA started its journey. Over 500 students have studied in this department in 22 long years. He is working in various organizations in the country and abroad. On April 25, 2015, the former students of the department took the initiative to form the Alumni Association. A convening committee list was also published for this purpose. Then on December 10, 2017, the founder of the university, Prof. Mujib Khan, discussed to decide what to do in this matter in a program of the former students of the university. On that occasion, the names of the new executive committee members of the organization were announced on Friday.
