Young Business Talents‘The registration period has begun for those educational centers in the Canary Islands that want to participate in this national ‘Business Game’ competition that seeks young people with business talent to compete for the title of ‘best virtual entrepreneurs in the country’.

This training competition, organized by BANKESIC, Herbalife and Praxis MMT, gives thousands of Spanish students the opportunity to live firsthand a practical experience by becoming authentic managers.

To do this, they will have to run their own virtual company during the school year with the use of an advanced business management simulator and develop leadership and management skills in business, the program reports in a note.

The best will get a place in the national final that will be held next April in person in Madrid.

During the last edition, a total of 186 students from 11 educational centers in the Canary Islands participated, who had to compete against a total of 10,634 students belonging to 389 educational centers throughout Spain, who benefited from this experiential learning that has the contest format. .

Taking into account the participation by province, Las Palmas had a representation of 142 students from eight educational centers and from Santa Cruz de Tenerife a total of 44 students from three educational centers competed.

For its part, at the national level, the autonomous communities with the highest participation were Andalusia, with 1,556 students, Catalonia with 1,456, Galicia with 1,375, Community of Madrid with 1,055, and Castilla y León with 1,047 students.

Finally, four Castellón residents from the 1st year of Baccalaureate at the IES Maestrat, in San Mateu, Castellón, were proclaimed winners of the competition.

«With this initiative, we make available to teachers the possibility of introducing an innovative learning tool to schools for free. By participating in the educational competition, they will receive advanced business management simulators, such as those used by business schools, universities and large companies, and which are valued at more than 3,000 euros, so that they can participate and have their students put into practice the theoretical knowledge of economics and business administration seen in classes,” explains Mario Martínez, director of ‘Young Business Talents’.

Until the national final takes place, young people will compete online from the classrooms and with the help of their teachers, in different eliminatory phases.

This year they will have to run a company focused on personal care, selling creams and sunscreens, while making the best decisions in the areas of marketing, sales, operations, production, human resources and finances, to ensure that their company achieves maximum results. economic benefits.

In this way, they will put into practice many theoretical concepts that they see in class and the level of motivation and involvement of the students will allow them a greater degree of assimilation of the contents, an opportunity from which both students, teachers and educational centers can benefit. to make your classes more attractive.

The registration period will remain open until October 31 and students from the 4th year of ESO, Baccalaureate or intermediate or higher level training cycles from any Spanish teaching center may participate.

More than 10,000 euros in prizes will be distributed among the best teams among students and teachers, as well as accreditation diplomas that will help them improve their professional future.
