Four stab wounds inflicted by a minor caused the death of a young man in Sagua de Tánamo, Holguín municipality, according to reports on social networks from several local residents and journalists.
The communicator Yosmany Mayeta and an Internet user named Gaby Lores gave an account of the murder, which occurred last Friday in the mentioned municipality. According to reports on social networks, it was a 15-year-old teenager who stabbed the victim four times, who was identified as Mariano.
The shared image shows the body – already presumably lifeless – of a young male lying on the street, a short distance from the sidewalk, and several people near the body, although it is not known if any of these people belong to the authorities. of the municipality or if they were passers-by who tried to help the victim.
The causes of the event are unknown. In general, the island’s state press does not report on these tragic events, although in recent months both missing persons, murdered women and crime in general have seen an upturn in the Greater Antilles.
“How long are we going to continue allowing so much murder in this country,” Gaby complained in her publication, and asked for harsh sanctions for the murderer in this case and in general for those who commit this type of crime in the nation.
He also asked that the penal code be respected or modified in situations like this.
So far this week there has been news of other violent events such as an attack on a young man from Santiago identified as Marcos Antonio del Río, who died in Havana after receiving five stab wounds, inflicted during a fight with a friend.
