The lawyer for Corinthians under-20 midfielder Dimas spoke for the first time about the death of the 19-year-old girl in São Paulo.
In an exclusive interview with Itatiaia, Tiago Lenoir stated that Dimas and the young woman started talking about a month ago through Instagram. On Tuesday night (30), they met in person in an apartment in Tatuapé, in the southeast region of the capital of São Paulo, where the young woman fell ill and was taken to the hospital.
According to the lawyer, Dimas is not suspected of any crime and that, in the apartment where the young people had sex, there are no traces of drugs or alcoholic beverages.

“I want to make it clear that Dimas is not being investigated, he is not suspected of having committed any crime. He was invited to go to the police station last night (30) to provide clarification as a witness. He met this girl, more or less, about 30 days ago on Instagram. They were chatting on this social network and arranged a meeting yesterday morning (30) to meet at the end of the day. It was the first time they met in person,” said Lenoir.
“There is no trace of crime at the site. So, now, we just wait and Dimas remains available to provide any testimony”, he highlighted.
According to Tiago Lenoir, the Corinthians player and the young woman had sex using condoms, in addition to having consensual sex. In the middle of the act, the girl reportedly fell ill and was immediately rescued by the Corinthians player.
“They had consensual sex with a condom. Soon after this relationship, he realized that the girl had ‘blacked out’, had fainted. Immediately, he called Samu. Under Samu’s guidance, he started first aid, giving her a cardiac massage. Afterwards, Samu arrived very quickly, because the Tatuapé base is close to the apartment”, added Lenoir.
Despite Samu’s quick rescue, the girl died a few minutes after being taken to a hospital in São Paulo.
“Samu also continued providing first aid, her heartbeat returned and she was taken to the hospital. Dimas accompanied her in the ambulance and went to the hospital. She had other cardiac arrests and, 20 minutes later, she died. He was invited by the police, obviously, due to the uncertain death, to give a statement. He gave his statement and was released,” he continued.
“Dimas remains at the disposal of the authorities, the investigative police, to provide any additional testimony and try to clarify this in some way. We await the results of the autopsy examination and the progress of the investigation, to clarify the cause of the girl’s death”, pondered Dimas’ lawyer.
Dimas’ defense explains the presence of another Corinthians player
To Itatiaia, Tiago Lenoir also commented on the fact that another Corinthians player, but a minor, was a witness in the case. According to the defense, the boy went to the apartment to get a cell phone charger for Dimas, who was already at the hospital with the young woman.
“They were alone all the time. This other player is a minor, he only went to the apartment to get a cell phone charger and take it to Dimas in the hospital. When he [Dimas] When he got there, he was even shirtless. He asked for a charger and his friend took it. Dimas’ future
According to Tiago, Dimas is very shaken by the girl’s death and had already purchased a ticket to go on vacation elsewhere.
“He is extremely shaken by all the circumstances. We await the development of the investigations. He does not have a residence in Minas, his residence is in São Paulo. The incident happened last night, I believe there is no reason to remove him. He is on vacation because he is an under-20 athlete. In fact, I had a ticket purchased to go to his house on a flight at 11pm, but the incident happened earlier and he missed the flight. He was already ready to enjoy his vacation,” he said.
“The girl’s family followed everything at the police station and is also very shaken by all of this. Dimas’s too, obviously. She is a young woman who passed away and we were quite saddened,” she concluded.
Who is Dimas?
Midfielder Dimas, 18, has been part of Corinthians’ under-20 team since April 2023. Last year, he made 12 appearances for the club. The player’s contract with Timão runs until January 31, 2025.
If it wants to buy 50% of Dimas’ rights after the loan, Corinthians will have to pay R$1.5 million.
