Ernesto Canales and Miguel Rivas, students and graduates of Computer Engineering, respectively, won first place in the university category of the Cybersec Challenge 2023, which took place virtually from September 20 to 27. Students from Central and South America participated in the university category of the contest.
As part of the event, and for a week, young people faced a series of technological challenges proposed by the organizers. Each of these challenges required knowledge of cybersecurity, focused on areas such as cryptography, website analysis, reverse engineering and steganography, among others.
The Cybersec Challenge 2023, carried out by the Cybersec Cluster of Costa Rica, seeks to support and promote Latin American human talent in cybersecurity issues.
