Hialeah police arrested a 26-year-old man, identified as José Giraldo Valdés, for being allegedly responsible for shooting at a food truck in this city, located in South Florida.

According to a police report, Giraldo Valdés fired a weapon against said unit when it was parked in the parking lot of a used car dealership at 1175 SE 8th Ave.

The young man fired the shots from the passenger seat of a truck driven by his alleged accomplice, named Jennifer Hernández, 26, who was arrested a month after the shooting. When questioned, this woman mentioned that said subject is the father of her son.

Hialeah police officers arrested Valdés on Thursday when he was in the area of ​​West 28th Avenue and 71st Street. This suspect now faces five counts of attempted murder, in addition to firing a deadly missile, giving a false name and resisting arrest without violence. The authorities denied him the right to bail.

Young man arrested for being allegedly responsible for robberies in Hialeah

This week also reported the arrest of a young man named Jayson Miranda, 21 years old.for being a member of a gang of thieves who stole household appliances and money in at least two houses in that city, during the month of August of last year.

According to a police report, Miranda committed the thefts together with the 18-year-old girl Melina Ocaña, who is currently in custody, and another person who is still a fugitive at the moment.

The alleged criminals made friends on Instagram and later, after gaining trust, they went to the victims’ house to commit the robbery violently and using a weapon. In one of the houses, they seized a PlayStation 5, laptops, cell phones, an Apple Watch and a wallet with personal documents.

“I thought they were going to kill my son, me and other people who were in the house, it has been the most difficult moment I have gone through in my life,” said one of the victims.

Miranda was placed under arrest when he appeared in a Miami-Dade court for another crime. He and the aforementioned young woman face charges of robbery, invasion of private property and use of a firearm.
