jpnn.com – Malaysia experienced a number of difficulties in preparing to face the Indonesian U-19 National Team in the semifinals of the 2024 ASEAN U-19 Boys Championship or the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup.
The match titled the Nusantara derby will be held at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, Thursday (27/7/2024) evening WIB.
Malaysian U-19 national team coach Juan Torres Garrido said his team was hampered by preparation time.
The Spanish coach said that his team only had a short preparation, after completing the match against Thailand, Thursday (25/7/2024).
“Our team’s preparation was difficult because we only had one day of rest. Our players are still in the recovery phase until they are ready. We will see until tonight (yesterday, ed),” said Garrido.
Even so, Garrido still prepared the best way to face Indonesia U-19.
“So far we have three matches in the group. We use these three matches to prepare the team against Indonesia,” he said.
The 2024 AFF U-19 Cup semifinal duel will not only bring together Indonesia vs Malaysia U-19.
