This means that the Provincial Human Development Committee (CPDH) of Youssoufia, in close collaboration with various national and local actors, is taking up this challenge of promoting early childhood through a particular interest in the health of the mother and of the child and above all, to the constant improvement of the quality of the services intended for them.

This emanates from an ultimate conviction of the CPDH that investment in human capital (mother and child) through excellent medical care and healthy nutrition, and the guarantee of a healthy environment for early learning are essential. even to enable the child to acquire the essential mechanisms to meet future challenges, while guaranteeing him the opportunity to succeed in many areas linked to school and professional life and thereby to contribute effectively to the expected societal development.

One of the flagship achievements of the INDH in this area is the implementation of the community health program which is intended to be the crowning achievement of a tripartite partnership agreement concluded between the Initiative, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, and UNICEF, aiming to provide health establishments with the necessary medical and paramedical equipment, to improve the quality of services provided in Dour Al Oumouma, to gradually implement the system of women community relays, to provide ambulances, to build maternity homes (Dour Al Oumouma) and the fitting out of delivery rooms.

In this context, the Initiative was able to support at the level of the province of Youssoufia, the community health program through the equipment of Dar Al Oumouma in the territorial commune of Ighoud, for a total cost of 500,000 DH, in addition support for the management budget of women community relays in the circles of Ahmer and El Gantour, for a total amount of 1,560,000 DH, the acquisition of two vehicles to facilitate the travel of women community relays, for a total envelope of 400,000 DH, according to data from the Social Action Division (DAS) in the province of Youssoufia.

In the same wake, the INDH acquired 5 ambulances for the benefit of Maternity Homes at the provincial level, for a total amount of 1,540,000 DH, as well as medical equipment for the benefit of newborns, and food supplements for the benefit mothers and children (800,000 DH).

In a statement to MAP, the president of the Mother and Child Health Sponsorship Association, Zahra Aslaou, said that Dar Al Oumouma in Ighoud benefits from very remarkable support from the CPDH in particular, for its various programs, noting that the participatory approach advocated aims to improve the health offer at the level of the Ahmer circle.

And to continue that this modern health structure is characterized by its proximity to the delivery unit able to be in coordination and in permanent contact with the managers of the Health Center, allowing the women concerned to benefit from follow-up and appropriate management of their state of health by the doctor and nurses of this Center.

Pregnant women referred to Dar Al Oumouma in Ighoud, with the help of community relay women, benefit from quality accommodation and reception within this health structure, continued Ms. Aslaou, noting that the mechanism of community relay woman is essential in the community health system.

And to conclude by emphasizing that these women community relays have played a major role in the considerable improvement in indicators linked to the health of mothers and children.

In figures, the number of deliveries in a supervised environment in particular, in Dar Al Wilada in Ighoud recorded an increase of 98%, while the rate of pre-delivery medical consultations reached 102%. Likewise, medical consultations for women during and after childbirth showed a rate of 92%.

Regarding indicators related to vaccination and completion of vitamin doses for children under 5 years old, they also recorded considerable increases.
