/ On Tuesday, the Ministry of Youth and Sports denied its intention to ask other ministries to withhold funds granted to clubs that refuse to release their players to the Olympic team, which is preparing for the Asian Championship that qualifies for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Director General of International Relations and Cooperation at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hossam Hassan, told Agency, “Our ministry has no authority over the other ministries, and what has been raised in this regard is baseless.”

In this context, the Ministry of Youth and Sports refused to put its name or the name of other parties on the club’s form in official communications.

The Ministry confirmed, according to a document obtained by Agency, that sports clubs are an independent entity based on what was stated in the Clubs Law.

The book stated that if some clubs continue to put the ministry’s name on the form, they will ignore the book as it violates the instructions and controls.
