Kollam: A 16-year-old girl who survived a POCSO case was found hanging in Kulathupuzha. The girl was found dead in Samnagar forest on Tuesday evening.
A week ago, the police had arrested a relative of the young man on a complaint that he had abducted the girl. Last Sunday, the mother lodged a complaint with the police that the girl was missing. Then Kulathupuzha police registered a case and found the girl and the youth and remanded the youth under POCSO charges. The court released the child with the mother.

After this, the girl lived in a relative’s house. From here we went to the forest in the afternoon. A nearby housewife noticed the incident and informed the others. The girl was found hanging from a tree in the forest by a shawl.

He was immediately taken to Kulathupuzha Government Hospital, but his life could not be saved. The Kulathupuzha police completed the post-mortem at Paripally Medical College after completing the post-mortem examination.

The police said that the girl and the youth were close.
