Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader VD Satheesan said that the doubling of the salary of the youth commission chairperson during the unprecedented severe financial crisis is a challenge to the people.
He also asked what message the government is sending by doubling the salary of the youth commission chairman CPM leader and giving it retrospective effect when the government is going through a financial crisis. VD Satheesan accused the government of taking this unethical action at a time of financial crisis which is so severe that even the social security pension of the poor cannot be paid.
The current financial crisis is caused by the government itself by not collecting taxes and being extravagant. This is the latest example of that. The opposition leader said that the government and the CPM should remember that continued rule is not a license to do anything. . He added that the government and CPM are challenging and mocking the people who are the masters in the democratic system.
