Md. was hit by a train while walking on the railway line in Khilkhe of the capital. Shahabuddin (20 years old) a young man was killed. He was mentally retarded.
The accident happened on Monday (February 12) around 9 pm. He was later rescued by passers-by and taken to Kurmitola General Hospital. When the condition worsened there, he was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital and the doctor on duty declared the young man dead around 10:30 pm.
Shahabuddin’s brother Shamim Ahmed said, “My brother was mentally challenged.” That night, he was hit by a train while walking over the railway tracks in Khilkshet. Local people rescued him and took him to Kurmitola General Hospital. From there, when he was taken to Dhaka Medical, the doctor declared him dead.
He also said that our village house is in Madaripur district, Shibchar police station, Rajacharchar Molla Kandi village. He was the son of Motaleb Hawlad. Currently living with family in a rented house in Khilkhet area.
In charge of DMK Police Camp. Bachchu Mia said, the body has been kept in the emergency department morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The matter has been reported to the Dhaka Railway Police Station.
