Today, Saturday, our youth football team defeated the junior team in a friendly match.
A statement by the Football Association – received by the (INA) – stated that “the youth team defeated the junior team by one goal, in a friendly match held at the Baghdad Municipality Club Stadium.”
The statement added, “The match is part of the two teams’ preparation program for the upcoming external participations that await them, as the youth team will play in the Asian Cup qualifiers that will be held next September, while the junior team will also play early next month in the West Asian Cup Championship that will be held in Jordan.”
He added, “The match was attended by the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, and members of the Executive Office of the Association, Mohammed Nasser and Khalaf Jalal.”
