A Dual Role: Content Curator and Creative Innovator
According to a recent proclamation, the NDR is looking for an individual who can not only filter and implement relevant video topics from the LFH Mecklenburg-Vorpommern but also contribute creative ideas for engaging thumbnails and short-form videos.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and selecting relevant video topics from the NDR Landesfunkhaus Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
- adapting journalistic content for the YouTube platform, including writing compelling titles and descriptions.
- Brainstorming ideas for compelling thumbnails and short-form videos.
- Providing community management support, addressing questions about content originating from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
- Acting as a central point of contact for reporters and YouTube authors within the regional studios of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
- Analyzing YouTube insights to understand content performance and inform future strategies.
- Supporting the NDR Info community management team and the NDR MV social team with community engagement efforts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The NDR is seeking a candidate with a strong journalistic background and a proven understanding of the YouTube platform. Essential qualifications include:
- Professional experience as a cross-media reporter.
- Familiarity with YouTube trends and an ability to identify high-reach, relevant topics.
- Basic knowledge of video performance analytics.
- Understanding of the structures and workflows within an NDR state radio or regional studio is a plus.
- Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills, coupled with a positive attitude.
- Experience providing constructive feedback.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential weekend assignments.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media tools like Sophora and Swat.io is advantageous.
- Video editing skills for creating Shorts are also a benefit.
