jpnn.comJAKARTA – YouTube has introduced a feature that allows creators to remove copyrighted music from videos, while retaining the other audio.

The Remove Song feature allows content creators to mute copyrighted music.

The tool was previously available as a beta feature, but it wasn’t always accurate.

The updated Remove Songs feature uses “AI-powered algorithms” to help more accurately identify and remove copyrighted songs without affecting other audio in a given clip.

However, even the new improved version may not always produce perfect results.

So, in cases where the tool fails to remove copyrighted content, creators can mute all sound in the portion of the video that has been flagged as containing copyrighted material.

YouTube’s support page states that the Delete Song tool may not work if the song is difficult to remove.

Another way is simply muting the audio can help eliminate content ID claims against the video. (theverge/ant/jpnn)
