The YouTube video service has launched a new short video format Shorts in Russia. In YouTube Shorts, as in the similarly functional TikTok service, you can create 60-second videos by overlaying YouTube music, basic filters, text and subtitles.
The beta version of Shorts will be available to all Russian users within a few weeks. The National Digital Aggregator has become the official music partner in Russia; in the future, the music library will be replenished. YouTube introduced Shorts in September 2020 in India, and since March 2021, the service has been available in the United States. In May, YouTube announced the creation of a $ 100 million fund to pay Shorts content creators.
