jpnn.comJAKARTA – YouTube Premium (subscription) users will receive many new features ranging from the “Jump Ahead” option to “Picture-in-Picture” (PiP).
YouTube Premium Product Manager Dave Wu, said the Jump Ahead feature was introduced as a way for users to go directly to the best part of a video.
If previously to find interesting content from videos had to be done manually, now by optimizing artificial intelligence through Jump Ahead, users can immediately find interesting content.
This feature can be found after the user double-taps the screen while playing a video, and then the Jump Ahead option will appear.
Currently, the Jump Ahead feature is only available to US customers using Android, and will be available to iOS users in the coming weeks.
Furthermore, the PiP feature is now not limited to long videos, but is also available for Shorts videos.
“Users can watch their favorite Shorts videos while browsing other apps or checking messages. It’s perfect for staying entertained non-stop,” Dave said.
Not only were two new features introduced, Dave added that YouTube Premium users can also try the latest experimental features that are being developed.
