YouTube will consider several factors when reviewing content that receives a removal request.
The review includes considering whether the reported content constitutes parody or satire.
Another consideration is whether the content relates to public figures or famous people engaging in sensitive behavior such as crime, violence, and promoting products or political candidates.
If any indication of violation is found, YouTube will categorize the content as violating YouTube’s privacy provisions.
In order to follow up on reports of content suspected of imitating someone, YouTube requires a report from the party who feels they are being impersonated.
Exceptions apply if the content impersonates a minor, someone who does not have access to a computer, or someone who is deceased.
YouTube will give reported creators a 48-hour deadline to remove the content.
