Images posted on a Facebook page cause emotions in which people in Zakynthos are seen continuing to enjoy themselves at a festival, with a forest fire behind them.
The video in question has been published on the Forecast Weather Greece page.
It is noted that Firefighters battled the flames throughout the night in the Agia Marina area of Zakynthosin a difficult and forested area near the village.
The forest in the area burned for the third time in recent years, as there were previous fires in 2007 and 2012.
With the first light of day one Erickson-type fire-fighting helicopter and two Pezetel-type (PZL) aircraft Water jets were launched, assisting the ground forces.
During the night, two crawlers of EP Zakynthos under the guidance of the Fire Department and the Forest Service tried to create a fire zone around the village. Work equipment opened up forest roads to allow firefighters to access the blaze and keep it under control.
