Through a letter sent to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Zaldívar yesterday presented his resignation to the Supreme Court of Justice.

In his letter, the minister points out that his cycle on the highest court came to an end because his contributions to a better country had become marginal.

“I believe that it is of the greatest importance to join the consolidation of the transformation in Mexico from the spaces that give me the opportunity to have an impact on the construction of a fairer and more egalitarian country,” he says in reference to his incorporation to the team of Claudia.

FROM CALDERÓN TO AMLO; FROM INDEPENDENCE TO SUBMISSION

ZALDÍVAR, THE SECOND MINISTER WHO RESIGNS FROM THE COURT

Precisely in the context of Medina Mora’s resignation, four years ago, Zaldívar wrote on his social networks that the closest case had been that of Ernesto Díaz Infante, with a “voluntary retirement.”
