MADRID, 10 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, has indicated this Saturday that Ukraine is the scene of “counteroffensives”, although without wanting to give more details, in a response to the announcement made yesterday by his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, about the beginning of a major counterattack Ukrainian in the east of the country.

“I find these statements interesting,” Zelensky said this Saturday, while receiving Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has arrived on a surprise visit, in kyiv.

“I think it’s important that Russia always have the feeling that they don’t have much time left, in my opinion. Counter-offensives and defenses take place in Ukraine. Now, I’m not going to comment in detail at what point they are,” he made known in statements collected by ukrinform.

Zelenski has warned the population not to trust the information that runs through “several channels” of the Telegram social network, “nor especially that provided by Putin”, since it is content that “goes through so many filters that it in the end there is no one who trusts her”.

“The best thing is to trust the Army, and I trust them,” he added.

It should be remembered that this same Saturday the British Ministry of Defense confirmed, in its latest assessment of the conflict, an “important” series of operations carried out by the Ukrainian forces in the east and south of the country, some of which have managed to break the Russian first line of defense.
