In the energy war against Europe, Russia prepares to strike “a decisive blow”. This is the alarm, launched by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who urged the European countries to greater unity in countering Moscow.
“Russia is trying these days to increase the energy pressure on Europe even more, gas supplies through Nord Stream 1 were completely cut off – Zelensky said in his evening video message -. Russia wants to destroy the normal life of every European, in all the countries of our continent “.
Faced with this threat, according to the Ukrainian president, Europeans must better coordinate their countermeasures and help each other.
THE FIGHTING AT THE FRONT – “The bitter clashes continue in many areas of the front, in the Kharkiv region, in the south and in the Donbass”. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in the usual evening video message.
“The Russians killed a 9-year-old boy in Zelenodolsk,” the military governor of the city in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Valentyn Resnichenko, wrote on Telegram. In total, around 10 people were injured by the missile attacks, most of them severely. There have also been raids in the Mykolayiv region of southern Ukraine, where an 8-year-old boy died, while two other children and four adults were injured.
In the north of Ukraine, in the Chernihiv region, the authorities also reported numerous Russian artillery strikes, which damaged several buildings. In this case, however, the negligence of the Ukrainians themselves was responsible for the wounding of several children: a shot was fired from a grenade launcher at a weapons exhibition in the regional capital of Chernihiv. Five people, including four children between the ages of 2 and 12, were injured in the accident. The prosecutor’s office started the investigation.
CENTRALE NUCLEARE ZAPORIZHZHIA – The Ukrainian nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia was again disconnected from the electricity grid, but the plant is continuing to supply electricity to the grid through a reserve line. This was announced today by the International Atomic Energy Agency (Aiea), which in a statement said it had been informed by the plant.
