Detailed information about the content of Ukraine’s victory plan has not yet been made public. All that is known is that it contains military, political, diplomatic and economic proposals, for the realization of which Ukraine needs international support. The information provided to the media by various sources shows that in the military section of the plan, Ukraine outlines what weapons supplies from the allies are needed in the short term in order to eventually force Russia to sit down at the negotiating table. The political part of the plan includes guarantees for Ukraine that it will be invited to become a member of Western institutions such as the European Union and NATO.
The plan also describes Ukraine’s need to strengthen defenses, including air defense, and calls for further strengthening of sanctions against Russia to weaken its economy and defense industry.
V. Zelenskyi has previously stated that the invasion of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kursk region of Russia is also part of the victory plan. Speaking to journalists before leaving for the USA, V. Zelenskyi also emphasized that he would try to get permission to use long-range weapons supplied by allies to strike military facilities deep in Russian territory: “Partners often say: ‘We will be with Ukraine until its victory.'” Now we we have clearly shown that Ukraine can win and what it takes. Let’s do it now while the officials who want Ukraine to win are still in office.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday called V. Zelensky’s plan to force Russia into peace a fatal mistake that will have consequences for Kyiv, reports Reuters. He said that Russia wants peace, but it is impossible to impose it by force.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump has criticized J. Biden for involving the USA in supporting Ukraine in the war started by Russia and emphasized that Russia had defeated Hitler and Napoleon.
