“Punishment is inevitable for every Russian murderer,” Zelenskyy said after the rocket fire in Chasiv Yar. The attack on the residential area showed once again that Russia’s troops also deliberately killed in residential areas. “After such attacks, they will not be able to say that they did not know or did not understand something,” said the Ukrainian head of state in his video speech on Monday night.

In addition to the 15 dead, six injured people were also rescued from the apartment building in the Donetsk region by late Sunday evening, according to the deputy head of the presidential office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko. 23 people are still missing.

Kyiv calls on civilians in occupied areas in the south to flee

The Ukrainian leadership has called on civilians in the occupied south of the country to flee because of planned army offensives. Ukraine criticizes Canada for exempting gas turbines from sanctions

Ukraine has protested against the planned delivery of the serviced Russian Nord Stream 1 turbine from Canada to Germany. A statement by the foreign and energy ministries in Kyiv said they were “deeply disappointed” by the Canadian government’s decision to make an exception to the sanctions imposed on Russia in this case. “We urge the Canadian government to reconsider this decision and ensure the integrity of the sanctions system.”
