The issue of changing the name of the pro-presidential party “Servant of the People” has never been discussed in any of the existing formats, said Yulia Paliychuk, a spokeswoman for the party’s faction in parliament. Earlier, sources close to the circle of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the Strana.ua publication that the president wants to rename his party closer to the parliamentary elections.
According to sources, the option is being discussed according to which the “Servant of the People” will be renamed the Zelensky Party or some similar name using the president’s surname. It is under this brand that the party will go to the elections, sources of the publication said.

Parliamentary elections in Ukraine are to be held in October 2023, presidential elections in March 2024.
At the same time, a source in the party told UNIAN that a possible renaming of the party is being discussed, but now this is happening only at the level of conversations. The decision to rename the party is made at its congress. Officially, the party members were not informed about the possibility of its renaming. A source in the party did not rule out that if the renaming of the party happens, then the name of the president may appear in its name.
In October, Mr. Zelensky said that he did not intend to initiate the country’s transition to a presidential form of government. The head of state added that he has not yet decided whether he will go for a second term, but intends to work until the end of the current one.
