BOLZANO. The Zelig film school in Bolzano could become a film and television academy through the participation of the Province and other public and non-public bodies. To allow Zelig legal and financial stability in the long term, the provincial council has decided to adjust the financial allocation currently granted and initiate the statutory amendment.
The proposal was developed by the Italian and German Culture departments and presented by councilors Marco Galateo and Philipp Achammer. “In recent years, the film industry has become increasingly important in South Tyrol. Securing a film academy in the area will guarantee high-level training, prestige and further focus on the local cultural and economic landscape but also a bridge to the international context”, Galateo emphasized.
“The Zelig film school is a training center that we want to protect and promote. With this step we recognize its importance as a training facility and contribute to the stability of its activities”, added Achammer.
