Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza, who played for Punjab Kings in the IPL, made an important contribution in taking Zimbabwe to the world record score by scoring unbeaten 133 runs with the help of 15 sixes in 43 balls in this Group B match. Raza scored a century in 33 balls, which is the joint second fastest century in T20 International. Although Raza’s 15 sixes is not a world record for most sixes in a T20 innings, this record is in the name of Sahil Chauhan of Estonia. Sahil had hit 18 sixes against Cyprus.
Highest total of a test playing team
Zimbabwe also became the highest-scoring team in T20 among all Test playing nations, surpassing India’s 297 runs for six wickets against Bangladesh in Hyderabad earlier this month. Gambia’s Moses Jobarteh became the most expensive bowler in this match by giving away 93 runs in four overs. Earlier in the T-20 International, Sri Lanka’s Kasun Rajitha had given 75 runs in four overs.
