Tehran: A lioness has escaped with her mate after attacking a zoo worker who came to feed her. Zoo officials said the two lions, which had been terrorizing the area for a long time, were captured after a long struggle. The employee arrived to feed the lioness while she was sitting with her mate. The incident took place at a zoo in Tehran, Iran.
The employee came to feed the lions as usual. But even before the employee arrived, the lion had opened the door from inside the cage. Ignoring this, the lion suddenly attacked the employee who was throwing food from near the cage. Authorities said the employee died at the scene.
After the attack, the lioness came out of the cage with her mate, the lion, and terrorized the area for a long time. The zoo was less crowded because it was Kovid time and more disasters were avoided. Even the army stepped in to capture the lions. Zoo officials told the media that after a long struggle, the two lions were captured alive and returned to their cages.
