Zweifel Chips Rebrands: Bids Farewell to Pomy After 60 Years and Embraces New Snacking Strategy

by time news

After over 60 years, the chip manufacturer Zweifel is parting ways with Pomy. Hans Heinrich Zweifel invented the name Pomy himself as an abbreviation for Pommes-Chip. Now there is a change: The company is now called “Zweifel Chips & Snacks”.

In a press release, the company quotes CEO Christoph Zweifel: “With the two brands Zweifel and Berger, we offer snacks in both the savory and sweet segments, thus covering every snacking moment.” The appearance of the two brands Zweifel and Berger remains unchanged. Everything stays the same for the customers as well.

The new corporate appearance of Zweifel Chips & Snacks AG is a direct result of this strategic development towards becoming a comprehensive snack provider. With this strategic realignment, Zweifel is responding to changing consumer behavior, which involves snacking around the clock. “We see ourselves as a 24/7 snacking provider. This means that we can offer the right snack for every snacking occasion.” The logo for Zweifel will also be updated. Instead of the previous orange, they will now use the color red.

With the new corporate brand, Zweifel aims to present itself more strongly as a company in the future, the statement continues. “We want to continue attracting the best professionals to our company and reaffirm our commitment to sustainability,” says CEO Christoph Zweifel.
