Iran is “not serious” about its demands, but there is still hope for an agreement: State Department spokesman Ned Price made the remarks in Washington. According to him, the new demands that Iran has submitted in recent months and weeks deviate from the 2015 nuclear agreement and “these are not serious demands.”
In Brussels, EU foreign policy chief Joseph Burrell tweeted that the political sphere of nuclear deal renewal was shrinking: “We want an agreement,” Burrell tweeted, “but decisions need to be made now.”
The tweet was released after a conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abdulhian. But Burrell Sage added: “And yet there is still a possibility to resume discussions on the settlement,” the Reuters news agency reports.
