The house of VA Ajesh, a Scheduled Caste resident of Payipra, Valiyaparambil was confiscated on Saturday. The operation took place while Ajesh and his wife were in hospital with a heart condition.

Mathew Kuzhalnadan MLA demolished the house and allowed Ajesh’s school children to enter the house. The MLA had yesterday written to the bank’s chief executive officer saying he was ready to repay their loan. Meanwhile, members of the bank’s Co – operative Employees Union (CITU) raised Rs 1.38 lakh to settle the debt. Bank chairman Gopi Kottamurikkal made the announcement.

But Ajesh refused the help of the bank employees. In an interview to a channel, Ajesh said that he did not want the support of those who bothered him.
