Those who do not know the song can listen to the songs of the band members. The backers and singers are all employees of the company. Clasis Technologies at Kochi Infopark is the first in the country to form its own music band for its employees. The band has hired singers and instrumentalists from the company. Space was also provided for the band in the company’s auditorium. Now the auditorium is full of music every morning. When the audience hears, they sing the songs they want. When the auditorium is empty, there will be training to learn and sing new songs. The band performs western music and Malayalam and Hindi songs.
The band’s music is used for employee gatherings, celebrations and events held at the company’s offices in various states. The band is responsible for the Employees Welfare Department of Claisse. The Claisis band includes singer and rhythm guitarist George Paul, singer and bass guitarist Leon Golbert, lead guitarist AC Albert, drummer Shias Koya and keyboardist Jason Lawrence.
According to Clarice MD Vinod Tharakan, the concept of ‘In-House Band’ was coined during the Kovid era as all the employees were work-from-home so that they could occasionally come to the office and enjoy themselves through entertainment including music. Vinod says he was inspired by the idea that such ventures can foster a healthy and warm relationship between employees.
Work is also underway to take the band to the outdoor venues from Classes’ own events. The Claise Band is preparing for outdoor events in collaboration with actor and singer Tinitom and singer Ronnie Phillip. In addition, Tini’s son Adam Shem and Ronnie’s daughter Lee Ann will also perform at public events with the Claysis band. Tini Tom says the band’s specialty is bringing music from different eras to the stage, which is enjoyed by people of all ages.
