Instead of his father who works in another city and can only come home on weekends, Nohyeon is the only one who can take care of his grandmother. Nohyeon wakes up at dawn every day to clean up his grandmother’s urine and feces, prepare breakfast for her, and take her to school. The water heater is broken, so there is no hot water, and water pours out like rain every time he uses the water, but he also doesn’t forget to wash his grandmother’s body with a towel in case her immunity weakens. Just like a normal middle school student, he doesn’t even have time to study and rest. That’s why Nohyeon wishes puberty would just avoid him.

The grandmother who made a living by repairing clothes in the neighborhood raised Nohyeon because she felt sorry for her son who was taking care of her grandson alone after a divorce. Since starting chemotherapy early this year, she has been suffering from delirium symptoms and has difficulty moving around while on a catheter. She has been wiping away tears and saying things because she feels bad about leaving her young grandson with her sick body. The father who always feels sorry for the mother and son who live in a poor environment. He feels even more sorry because he works for a demolition company and travels around the country, so he can only come home once or twice a month. The father who took care of his mother alone when his son Nohyeon was the same age as his parents after their divorce. The sense of despair and burden led to deviant behavior with friends, and the wandering back then became poison. The father who regrets the days when he failed to get married and lived uprightly because of his greed for money. To make matters worse, he has a hard time paying off the debt he incurred while taking time off from work due to depression and poor health, and the monthly caregiver fee of 2 million won for his mother. He has to take care of his sick grandmother, and he worries that he might want to escape reality when he hits puberty. The only time Noh Hyun-i, who is always mature, can return to being fifteen is when he is with his father. Others may scold her father for leaving his sick mother in the care of his young son and not taking care of her, but Noh Hyeon is more worried about her father, who lives alone, wandering around without a home, struggling to pay his grandmother’s hospital bills and debts. Just as the ground hardens after rain, he believes that if he endures the difficult times, his grandmother will regain her health and be able to live with his father.
