Hard workers, get out! The full-fledged summer vacation season is approaching. Where can you find a place to soothe your tired body and mind from everyday life?

From cool ‘water hot spots’ that will blow away the heat in one go, to unique accommodations filled with the owner’s romanticism, to ‘hip’ experiences that you will regret missing out on.

Five senses. Satisfaction! A dreamlike night that only I want to know about! This summer, stay there~ How about it?

This week (July 22-26), EBS 1TV’s current affairs and cultural program ‘Stay Still, How’s It?’ will air as a 5-part series.

Naksansa Temple in Yangyang, Gangwon-do, is counted as one of the three major seawater Avalokitesvara temples in Korea, along with Boriam Temple in Namhae and Bomunsa Temple in Gangwon-do.

This place, a thousand-year-old temple with a long history founded by the monk Uisang of the Unified Silla period, is said to be attracting attention as a hot vacation spot for young people in their 20s and 30s these days. What is the secret behind its captivation of the 2030 generation?

This is the ‘Surfing Temple Stay’ that you can only enjoy at Naksansa Temple this summer! It is a part of ‘hip Buddhism’ that is receiving great response by communicating with the MZ generation, and it is said to be a combination of ‘surfing’, a representative summer sport of Yangyang, and ‘temple stay’ where you spend a night at a temple. Jeon Hye-rin, 21 years old, visited Naksansa Temple this summer because she wanted to enjoy a different kind of vacation.

At Hongryeonam in Naksansa Temple, I face the sea, listen to the sound of the waves, practice yoga to calm my mind on the beach, and spend time focusing only on myself. Then, for the first time in my life, I try surfing and surrender myself to the waves, and my mind is filled with a sense of refreshment.

If you put away your distracting cell phone for a while and take the time to look into your body and mind, your distracted and troubled body and mind will find true ‘rest’ and the ‘peace’ they have longed for.

A ‘rest’ for my mind, escaping from the stuffy daily life and cutting through the cool waves
This summer, experience the most ‘hip’ vacation of any vacationer at Naksansa Temple.

EBS’s ‘Korea Travelogue’ is a beautiful time travel documentary program that travels through space to find hidden scenic spots in Korea and conveys the fragrance of history, customs, architecture, and culture. It airs every Monday to Friday at 9:30 PM.
