This Saturday, February 10, the “queen stage” of the Tour Colombia 2024 was held, a grueling 138-kilometer day ending in Alto del Vino.

Our country had a historic performance in today’s stage with three Ecuadorian cyclists being part of the final peloton. Demonstrating his favoritism and great strength, Richard Carapaz (EF Education) took the victory by crossing the finish line with a time of 3:34:19.

Ecuador made it 1-2 today, as Carapaz surpassed his friend and compatriot Jonathan Caicedo (Petrolike), who finished in second place, 13 seconds behind the “Locomotora del Carchi”.

Rodrigo Contreras (Nu Colombia) completed the podium this Saturday, managing to maintain the lead in the general classification with 17 seconds difference over Richard Carapaz, who climbed to second place with his victory today.

Jonathan Caicedo completes the first three places overall, 24 seconds behind the leader (Contreras). It should be noted that Richard Carapaz secured the mountain title with the points he scored today.

The Tour Colombia 2024 will end tomorrow with the sixth and final stage, a day of 138.7 kilometers with a finish line in the capital (Bogotá).
