Narendra Modi- Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had won the Varanasi seat by 4,79,505 votes. He got 6,74,664 votes, while Samajwadi Party’s Shalini Yadav could get only 1,95,159 votes. Congress candidate Ajay Rai stood third and got only 1.52 lakh votes. This time also Prime Minister Modi is contesting from Varanasi seat.

Amit Shah- Gandhinagar

BJP President Amit Shah had won the Gandhinagar seat by 5,57,014 votes. Congress candidate Dr. C.J. stood second in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. Chavda got 3,37,610 votes while Amit Shah got 8,94,624 votes. The deposits of all the other 16 candidates were forfeited. By winning this seat, senior BJP leaders like Lal Krishna Advani have reached Parliament. This time also Amit Shah is contesting from Gandhinagar seat.

Smriti Irani- Amethi

BJP leader Smriti Irani had defeated the then Congress President Rahul Gandhi from Amethi seat. This high profile seat is considered a stronghold of Congress. Smriti Irani is also contesting from this seat in 2024, although Congress has not yet declared its candidate on this seat. Irani had got 4,68,514 votes in 2019, while Rahul Gandhi had got 4,13,394 votes. Earlier in the 2014 elections, Rahul Gandhi had defeated Smriti Irani by 1,07,903 votes.

Rahul Gandhi- Wayanad

The Congress president may have lost his family bastion of Amethi, but he had won the Wayanad seat in Kerala by a record margin of 4,31,770 votes. Rahul Gandhi got 7,06,367 votes and CPI’s P.P. Suneer got 2,74,597 votes. This time also Rahul Gandhi has filed nomination from Wayanad seat.

Kanhaiya Kumar, Begusarai

Begusarai seat of Bihar was one of the hottest seats during the Lok Sabha elections 2019. It was in the headlines because of former JNU Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar contesting elections from here. BJP had also made the contest very exciting by fielding its strong leader Giriraj Singh on this seat but the BJP candidate easily won this seat. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, there were a total of 19,58,382 voters in Begusarai Lok Sabha seat, who won the election by giving 6,92,193 votes to BJP candidate Giriraj Singh, while CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar could get 2,69,976 votes and he got 4,22,217 votes. Was defeated by votes.

Jyotiraditya Scindia- Guna

BJP has made Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia its Lok Sabha candidate from Guna in 2024 but in 2019 he was in Congress and BJP candidate Dr. K. is on Guna Lok Sabha seat. Had lost to P. Yadav. The BJP candidate had got 6,14,049 votes and Scindia had got 4,88,500 votes.

Poonam Sinha, Lucknow

BJP has held the Lucknow Lok Sabha seat since 1991. Poonam Sinha, wife of Shatrughan Sinha, who joined Congress from BJP in 2019, lost the election in Lucknow to BJP’s Rajnath Singh by 3,47,302 lakh votes. Rajnath Singh got 6,33,026 votes while Poonam Sinha got 2,85,724 votes.

Babul Supriyo, Asansol

In West Bengal, BJP had won two seats in 2014 but in 2019 it has won 18 seats. During the elections, the most talked about seat of Bengal on which everyone’s eyes were fixed was Asansol. From here, BJP’s Union Minister Babul Supriyo defeated Trinamool Congress’s Munmun Sen by 1,97,637 votes. Babul Supriyo got 6,33,378 votes while Munmun Sen got 4,35,741 votes.

Manoj Sinha, Ghazipur

BJP’s Union Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha had lost the election from Ghazipur. In 2014, Manoj Sinha had defeated Samajwadi Party’s Shivkanya Kushwaha from this seat by about 32 thousand votes, but in 2019, Manoj Sinha lost to the alliance’s Afzal Ansari by 1.19 lakh votes. Afzal Ansari got 5,66,082 votes while Manoj Sinha got 4,46,690 votes.

Shatrughan Sinha, Patna Sahib

Shatrughan Sinha, who won on BJP ticket in 2014 by 2.65 lakh votes, lost the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by 2.84 lakh votes. BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad got 6,07,506 votes while Shatrughan Sinha, who contested on Congress ticket, got 3,22,849 votes.
