Riyadh: 80 people in Saudi Arabia are in critical condition due to covid. One person died within 24 hours. 106 new people have been confirmed with covid.
Among those undergoing treatment, 183 more have recovered. The total number of cases reported in the country so far stands at 811,748. The total number of recoveries rose to 798,564. The total death toll stands at 9,266. 3,918 patients are undergoing treatment. Those who are critically ill are staying in intensive care units in hospitals in various parts of the country.

Expatriate domestic workers can return home without the employer’s permission
Riyadh: Expatriates working in Saudi Arabia on domestic worker visas are allowed to return home without the sponsor’s consent after obtaining a final exit. This is part of the recent reforms made by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Domestic Workers Law. If there is one of the four reasons, they can contact the Labor Office in Saudi Arabia and start the process to return home.
Hajj pilgrims must return home before Saturday
A circular issued by the Ministry of Human Resources on June 28 indicates the conditions for the final exit. If the labor office terminates the contract between the employer and the worker following a complaint by the domestic worker, if a letter from the embassy of the worker’s country is presented, and if the employer dies. (Change to the name of another employer is also permitted. Written assurance that the cost of change of sponsorship and Iqama will be borne by the new sponsor), the reasons are if the employer does not appear in the labor court despite receiving a notice from the police in a labor dispute case.
In these circumstances the Labor Office will examine the cause and decide whether the domestic worker is entitled to a final exit. If the decision is positive, the final exit process can be completed by approaching the Saudi Passport (Jawazat) office with the document received from the Labor Office.
