The Washington Wizards and Danny Avdia went into the All-Star break, when the Israeli was probably in the best shape of his NBA career. Tonight (between Friday and Saturday), they hosted the New York Knicks, for an important meeting in their fight for the ticket to the playoffs, but lost 115:109

Avdia played about 27 minutes, in which he recorded 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The Wizards were actually the ones who set the tone in the opening, and ran to a double-digit gap with an excellent offensive first quarter of 27:38. The Knicks, much thanks to the great ability of Julius Randle (46 points and 7 three-pointers), returned to the game in the second quarter, completed a turnaround in the third quarter, and in the last quarter we got a close game. Bradley Beal evened it up with a 3-pointer about a minute to the end, but points by Jaylen Bronson and Mitchell Robinson, along with a lost ball by Kuzma, closed the story.

In Washington, Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis stood out with 23 points each, which did not prevent the Wizards from losing a 19-point lead in their home court. RJ Barrett added 14 points for the Knicks, who have won 4 in a row and continue to improve their position in the East.
