1,164 new cases of covid in UAE, one death

Abu Dhabi: The number of new covid cases is decreasing in the UAE. According to the official data released by the Ministry of Health and Defense of the country, 1,164 people have been confirmed to be infected with the Covid-19 virus in the country today.

1,394 Kovid patients who were under treatment in the country have recovered in the last 24 hours. One covid death has been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. New patients in the country were detected from 2,27,104 newly conducted covid tests.

According to the figures so far, a total of 9,91,564 people have been confirmed to be infected with the Covid-19 virus in the UAE. Of these, 9,70,753 people have already recovered. A total of 2,335 people have died due to covid in the country. Currently there are 18,476 covid patients in the country.

Confirmation that five people who died in the flood in UAE are from Pakistan

Fujairah: Five people who died in the floods in Fujairah and other emirates in the UAE have been confirmed as Pakistani nationals. Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed this. The UAE Ministry of Interior has already confirmed that seven people have died in the flood and all of them are expatriates.

Director General of Federal Central Operations in the UAE Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Dr. First reported by Ali Salim Al Tunaiji. An extensive search later confirmed that one more person had died. With this, the death toll in the flood has risen to seven. It has now been reported that five of them are from Pakistan.

The Ministry of Home Affairs expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased expatriates. Authorities recovered the bodies from Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Fujairah. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the people whose houses were flooded have been moved to safer places.
