Chhindwara: There is speculation that former Chief Minister Kamal Nath may join BJP. These speculations got strengthened when Kamal Nath suddenly left for Delhi along with his son Nakul Nath on Saturday. It is being told that before leaving for Delhi, Kamal Nath had held a secret meeting in Chhindwara. Important leaders of Chhindwara Congress and Kamal Nath were included in this meeting. On Saturday, Kamal Nath and Nakul Nath had many programs in Chhindwara which were suddenly cancelled. If sources are to be believed, on Friday night, Kamal Nath had held a secret meeting with Congress leaders at his residence in Shikarpur. Only a few big leaders of Congress were involved in this meeting. Apart from Betul and Jabalpur, some Congress leaders from Balaghat had also reached here. Former CM Kamal Nath discussed with all the leaders and then made a plan to cancel the Chhindwara tour and go to Delhi.
Which leaders were involved in the meeting
On Friday, former CM Kamal Nath had discussed with Govind Rai, Vishwanath Okte, Deepak Saxena and Sunil Jaiswal besides Arunoday Choubey and Ramu Tekam in Chhindwara. There are indications of taking a big decision after the meeting of these leaders. Kamal Nath has also not denied the news of joining BJP.
10-12 MLAs may leave Congress
According to media reports, along with Kamal Nath, 10 to 12 Congress MLAs may also leave Congress and join BJP. However, this speculation is only according to media reports. Many supporting leaders of Kamal Nath have also changed their social media profiles. It is being told that all the MLAs of Chhindwara district can come in support of Kamal Nath.
